Today, I have just read news on how some types of common preservatives that can be found in many soft drinks can cause damage to parts of DNA and in the long run diseases such as Parkinson and cirrhosis of the liver. The preservative in question is called Sodium benzoate or in Australia it is known as Preservative (211). It can be found in many soft drinks such as Sunkist, Diet Coke, Sprite and Pepsi Max.
The harmful effect of this preservative has been compiled by Peter Piper who is a professor of molecular biology and biotechnology and has been studying sodium benzoate for eight years at Sheffield University. In his laboratory, he observed on how the living cells reacted negatively and damaged severely by sodium benzoate. However, the food industry said that all preservatives have been tested and they met all the safety requirements. Although, Peter said that the test was conducted by using an obsolete model as the testing method has far more advance. Furthermore, he advised parents to think twice for letting their children drink products that contain this chemical, especially in large amount.
I think the study needs to be investigated further. As a lot of people drink this kind of drinks, and I knew some people who only drink coke and they are totally fine. However, I prefer to drink cooked water and I’m quite sure it is the safest thing to drink.

Prostitution is a big issue nearly everywhere. It is hard to get rid of prostitution as you may know the government may be need this kind of industry to get more money. Moreover, the problem of prostitution is not only about economic reasons. Some people do it because they actually love to do it. I know it’s kind of harsh but correct me if im wrong.

The controversy around Virginia tech massacre is still happening, and this time it spreads to the gaming community. A Sydney youth has angered many people by creating and uploading a game that depicts Cho in Virginia tech massacre. Moreover, he demanded someone to pay him $2000 to pull down the game from the website.
The fact that really annoys me is the fact that he made the game because it’s funny. How would you call murders as funny? It’s insane and he does not have any sense of sensitivity towards the victim. I feel that today’s society becomes more individualistic and egoistic. They will do anything for self benefit. In the case of this young man, he needs to go to psychiatrist, maybe there is something wrong inside his head.
Finally, there is some good news. The website that hosts his game has stopped the access to the game. Although, other free online websites such as newgrounds still host the game. He praised on how newgrounds still believes in freedom of speech. This is a very stupid comment made by him. As I have discussed in my previous entry that freedom of speech should be exercised responsibly and more importantly it should have a solid reasoning.
